my new oud from Haluk Eraydin
I'm a guitar player who after listening to a lot of world music finally decided to buy myself an oud and learn to play it. Not knowing exactly where
to look to purchase one outside of perhaps eBay, I did some internet searches. Well you probably know that many oud makers and related sites will come
up, and with many fine looking instruments for sale, at all price ranges. I then discovered Mike's Oud website and forum which was really helpful. In
the website I noticed that some users mentioned that they bought their student model oud from Haluk Eraydin, and how pleased they were with thier
experience. Mike emailed me some advice about ouds and oud makers worth contacting, and Haluk's name was included. So I decided to contatct Haluk and
start a dialogue going on buying one of his student model ouds. To make a long story short, he is one very friendly and helpful man; makes you feel
right at ease. I decided to order his student oud as it was in my budget and also had good reviews. It arrived packed in a wonderful crate, and I feel
that I now have an excellent student oud to learn on with good tone and craftsmanship. As another person in this forum has said, if these are Haluk's
student model ouds, then his professional models must be pure class. If you are looking for a really good student oud, I can recommend contacting
Haluk at <www.eraydinsazevi.com.tr> Matthew Warman, England

I have also recently acquired an Oud from Haluk Eraydin
and my sentiments could only be a repetition of MatthewW and Amos'. A very kind and prompt gentleman, and the oud sounds and looks just oustanding
(Oud3 beginner) I will post some pics very soon, just need to borrow a digital camera.....
