La Bella F A D G C F strings

I put these on my oud a few days ago and they just do not work with this oud. I'd be willing to sell them cheap, maybe $10 shipped to the USA? if anyone wants them. I've played on them maybe 15 minutes.

Are the nylons clear? or are they a pale gray look?

Pale gray, the f course looks more opaque. They're definately not clear like the D'addario strings on my other oud.

Hey Jason,
Were you experimenting these Strings on a Oud that wasnt designed for FADGCF..Or are you just unhappy with LABELLA Strings on your Oud..?

I think it's a little of both. It's a fixed bridge Sukar with a fairly long scale length (around 62cm). It just seems like there is no "oomph" to the oud with this tuning. While I tend to think of the higher tuning as more delicate, this just sounds weak.

These were the first La Bellas I've tried on an Arabic oud.

By the way.... Sukar ouds come out of the shop with that tuning to them using pyramid orange strings.
Those labellas you have with that tuning is also what shehata ouds come out of the shop with.
I love the nylons there made with some graphite infused to them or something like that. its suposed to reduce the risha noice to it. I just like the way they feel
I'll drop you a u2u

Wow I didn't realize the Sukars and Shehatas came like that. I may have to try the tuning again sometime. I'm starting to think a lot of the problem may just be me :)

Infamoud, I do have paypal. Since Samir expressed interest first I'll have to give him the first shot at the strings but I'll let you know if he passes.
