the maker of this oud?????


hello all
i found this oud it is for sale it's written that the oud is turkish oud
that what the oner wrote to me

21cm Deep, 37cm wide String length 60cm.
Action height 4mm
Sorry, I am not able to do a sound file

ho could be the maker or from where????

WOW what a gorgeous oud, This looks like one of the best examples of a egyptian oud made by gamil georges (gamil gergis)
His ouds were played by farid, sunbaty, abdelwahab. etc...

I may be wrong but Iam pretty sure.
If you look in the oud projects forrum, Dr.Oud just retored one.

whats up Akram and Samir, kul sune intoo salmeen. ya that oud is awsome looking. I am also guessing it could be a bedrossian. With an oud that nice i dont think it matters who made it, just as long as it plays good and the price is right.

Samir, you are right about the similarities with older Gamil George ouds. The style of the bowl is similar to my Gamil George. But the oud akram is asking about might also be Syrian or Lebanese from around the 1950s or 1960s. The label would clear this up.
