I'm still learning about the differences between ouds from different regions. I understand that Turkish and Egyptian ouds are different sizes (small
and large) and that they are (generally) tuned one tone apart.
I have read that ouds from Iraq are smaller than those from Egypt, so can someone now tell me what is the difference in pitch between a Turkish oud
and an Iraqi oud - the six-course instrument?
