Although some of you have an enviously large collection of ouds of different styles, this question is for those who only have one type.
Imagine you only have Turkish tuning and all your musician friends and singers play in arabic tuning, can you read scores down a fifth? That is, down
a tone for tuning differences, and down a fourth because Turkish music is usually written a fourth higher...
Or you play Arabic tuning and are confronted with a score in Turkish pitch...so you transpose...
Or do you just start making the coffee, and let them get on with it?
