Greek Oud Players
Greetings all,
Can anyone give me a list of top Oud players currently performing in Greece.
I know of Saragoudas, Apergis, Haig and Kwnstantinou. Are these the only guys that stand out today? Also, even though this is unfair to ask, can
someone categorize these oud players in terms of their skills and abilities on the oud.
Thanks,
Harry G.

Dear friend there are also Varveris,he is very good also and plays with Mismagies...
Tsiamoulis,he is very good also....and many many others .....you see at the last 10 years the oud has start to win all the young boys and girls to
learn it.....it is impossible my friend to put them in an order....they have all theyr sound and theyr reputation.....''''each
flower has his own parfum'''.....
We all love the oud like something very sacred here.....it is the purest feeling .... only if you play this instrument and feel this love you can
understand....

Greek oud players
Dear Harry & Spyros
Could you possibly give a list of recommended CDs featuring the artists - Saragoudas, Konstantinou, Varveris, Tsiamoulis - that you mention in your
posting? (I already have the 'Outi' CD featuring Haig Yazdjian and Antonis Apergis.)
Best wishes
David

There is Kiriakos Kalaitzidis and he plays with En Hordes in Thessaloniki. He is a well-educated udi and he plays wonderful.
And another one is Dimitris Mikelis from "occasional Dream".He is a more Jazz style-udi.
