There are many entries in these forums about the best woods for oud construction.
Please do a search on "wood" for example, and you will find a lot of interesting information.

woods for oud
We use wenge,juniper,walnut,maple, rosewood,purple rosewood,padouk and mahagony woods for bowls of ouds.
For soundboard,of course best quality spruce wood.
