Nut Size

When i bought my Oud, for some reason the Nut is only sized to hold 4 Double courses and a drone, however it has 12 pegs and 12 holes at the bridge.

Could someone direct me as to how i could resolve this problem, would i need a new nut? if so, how can i get this changed?
