Oud on Wikipedia
Just wondering what people thought of the "Oud" page on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oud), and whether any of the forum members had contributed to it? I should think it is one of the first places people
look for info on the oud.

It was, in fact, the first page I looked! 
I think it covers basic background information and gives a nice overview of oud artists. Although the tunings section could be imrpoved I think, as it
is now, I don't think it's clear for people what the most common tunings are, and maybe it should be expanded with an Artist tuning section (what
tuning does he use etc).

very interesting- the makers list is very iran-heavy. I had no idea there so many prominent iranian oud/barbat makers- what a trip huh? some of the
history seemed iffy, but honestly, it's an enjoyable page to read- what you guys think?
