Shehata ouds have there own sound. If you like Abady el Johar and the sound of his ouds. They are made by Shehata mostly.
He has all of those woods you are looking for and he can make a top of the line oud for that price.
I have one and I love it.
Buzzing problems are in most egyptian ouds? really I didnt know that. But anyways it doesnt mather. Please dont compare Shehata ouds to some mohamed
ali street oud.
He is a professional maker that makes ouds for sound not for decoration.
my advice is that if you like the sound of the ouds he made get one. listen to the videos of shehata ouds.
I got my shehata with the help of Mike.
send him a email and he will be able to help you.

Shehata is considered to be truly the top notch in oud bulding in Egupt, carrying his father's heritage of fine craftsmanship and the knowledge of
modern technology. His ouds have their own sound as SamirCanada has said, i totally agree with that. As for the buzzing, i think you are right. this
is a common feature of not only Shehata's ouds, but in all ouds using the brass strings in the three low strings. Instead you can order yours using
German made strings, they sound unbelievable on Shehata's ouds.

Hi Damascene,
I had an experience with oud making, i am not a maker but i know exactly what need to do to make a good oud.
You can not solve buzzing problem by changing strings. Buzzing has so many sources, the Finger Board, Nut and the holes of the bridge where the
strings is start toward the nut. And in-direct souce is the Pegs (keys). Ebony Keys (Prgs) are the best to minimize the buzz (This is what i noticed
with so many ouds).
So many memebers of this great forum recommanded shehata. And Since the most famous singers ordered from Shehata, it means he is one of the best
makers and i am going to order from him some time end of this year.
The other things, I am big admire of Abadi Al-joher and i respect his choices.
Since he choses shehata, then i follow his choice.
Cheers
