Rosettes

Does anyone here know how to say "rosette" in Arabic? I'm trying to get an oud via my teacher (who is currently living in Jordan) and his English is not too great. I just want to make sure that the oud I get would have rosettes.
Any information would help. Thanks!

shams for one rosette, shamsiya for the plural. (it means "sun").
