Sam,
I have very primitive means of transferring from cassette to digital, and I'm not well versed in sound editing. (Need to sit down one time and figure
out which filter does what ... )
But if someone can give a quick hint on how to remove the hissing and the sharp pitches, I'd really appreciate it. I think these are my two main
problems. The rest is in find the perfect encoding (in sampling and compressing) to get reasonable sound and file size.
For completion, this song is off the sound track for a tv series called "Abu El-Ela El-Beshry". The title of the song is Layla. The music is for Ammar
Al-Sherei and the words for Abdulrahman Al-Abnoudi.

you are the best ... thank you very very much ... I heared this song in the late 80's watching that TV series back home one time and I never forgot
the music of it ... my little girl "Layla" will be happy listening to it.
may be we have to start a new topic and discuss all these advanced sound issues.
