BandSaw fence + Bending Iron

Could someone help me in making a band Saw fence.

I have a Delta 10" and it came without a bandsaw guide and fence. I would like to make my own in order to resaw the wood I have into ribs.

I finaly ordered on of the viking resaw blades for my bandsaw this week. Should get it soon.

also could someone (jameel)
instruct me in the parts needed to make a bending iron out of a lightbulb. What parts do I need precicely.
I know about the MDF board and the alluminum pipe etc...
I was wondering what kind of bulb goes in it. and also what the layout for the wiring to make such a device.
thanks

If you have a few extra bucks, this fence is a good buy. http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&cat=1,41036&p=5...

Just go to hardware store and get a porcelain base for a single bulb fixture. You'll need a rheostat (a dimmer switch) too. Everything you need is in this pic:

I think I'm currently using a 200 watt bulb. Just a plain old light bulb. Nothing special.

Lots of good bending iron info at the MIMF.com forum too. You have to register to see the Library--that's where the info is.

The wiring is simple. Same as your in house wiring. The switch should have a diagram. You've changed out a bad switch at home before, right?

Here are some ideas for a home-built fence:
