Hello Bill. It looks nice; I appreciate its Ghadban's pillar logo of Baalbeck and the white circles as only ornementation .Could you give us a right
idea of its courses and bowl dimensions? Which wood is it ?And can I ask you a photo of its back please? cia-ciao

HI did you receive any offers on this Oud? It seems in this forum
people are biased in favor of Iraqi ouds. I have played several,
My Ex-wife was Iraqi and one of her brothers had about 5 Oud's
including 2 70's Fadhels and 1 by Fadhel's son and signed by Fadhel also. I have played 2 Fawzy' and had a late 90's model
Fadhel which I sold because the sound was lacking in my opinion.
I really like the Ghadban ouds in contrast for the superb craftsmanship and specially quality of tone. Much better than many of the Iraqi ouds I've
played and heard in person. I don't want to start a thread about this, so let's just leave it as my opinion. I think Ghadban just doesn't have the
"mystic" and
fame of the Iraqi oud tradition. Anyway good luck selling your
Oud, I have received a few offers on mine, very low and many
with "it's not an Iraqi oud so the price ...." or " I can get an Iraqi oud for the same ... " " Last thought: Iraqi oud makers are good at making
the big bowl "bashir" style replicas with the
stylish pickguards, Ghadban can make those, and can make Nahat style ouds, and can make multiple unique models with very different playability and
sound characteristics based on what you want.
Good luck

s3cr3t3- I am not sure if most members in the forum are biased towards Iraqi ouds or not, but do I agree with you 100% that Nazih Ghadban's ouds have
great craftsmanship and a very special quality of tone.
He may not be as famous as some of the Iraqi makers yet, but I think he will be, along with many of the fine ouds he has made. I think anyone who owns
an oud by Nazih will agree.
best wishes, M.W.
