new taso theorakis ud
hello all -
i'm new to the forum - and wanted to put in a plug for tasos theodorakis, from whom i just bought the oud pictured here. it has a deep throaty
sound and a resounding bam telli. incredibly light in weight as well. i will be growing into this instrument for a while - also, a great way to
spend some time in thessaloniki!
i live in upstate ny in binghamton - and am playing smyrnaika/rebetika on both the oud and the six string bouzouki. now to begin the process of
studying a bit more formally. i speak and read turkish so i don't have an excuse not to be a bit more on top of ottoman musical theory.
i enjoy everyone's posts!

It reminds me of an old Vassilaki he has in his collection.
