I believe he now added a reserve price, something he forgotten the first time he listed the oud.

It´s anybody´s guess what the reserve price is - we only know it´s more than the 900 e starting price.
The logic of this kind of pricing escapes my understanding, but it is pretty common at eBay, so maybe it´s good for the business... If the seller
knows what is the minimum price for which he is ready to sell his instrument, why not put that as a starting price?

The reason behind that is bc the less money you start out with like from 0$ to 10$ ebay makes 20 cents and and from 20$ to 50 ebay make 50Cents ect so
they spend the extra 50 cents to put a reserve and it cost them way less in the long run i guess
