New Tasos Oud part 2
Tasos took some photos of the oud as he made it and I promised him I'd also show some of these to the forum - I hope you enjoy these - I really would
like you to see his work.
Best wishes
Leon

Tasos oud part 2
Inside of bowl - the ribs are actually maple lined rather than paper

Thanks Mav
I love seeing the making process from forum members - it just shows these aren't made by machines. The oud is really something and sounds fantastic!
and I promise I'll post a sound clip in the next few days.
I had no time over the Easter weekend and I'm so busy at the moment ... I am building a room sized camera obscura for a country park near Nottingham
(think Robin Hood!!), and have a bit of a deadline. Our workshop is stacked high with Western Red Cedar cladding for the outside of the Camera
Obscura so what with this and a cedar soundboard I'm high as a kite.
The oud is a joy to play - it sort of plays itself. I can't wait to really get going on it and really get stuck into makams properly now.
Best regards
Leon
