Interesting new ouds by Dimitris
Hey guys,
Check out these new additions at the top of the page:
Two New Ouds
Interesting right? What do you think of the two-piece pickguards? I think I dig it...
Take care,
mav

These ouds look beautiful, like all the rest of his work. Yes, I like the pickguard design also Mav. I really wish there was a sound clip of the
Syrian stlyed ouds, especially the first one.

Super maximally stunning artistry all around. The pickguards are so different than the simple styles I'm used to seeing, not my cup of tea -- but
again, they're so beautifully done, they don't look gaudy...truly an artist. Thanks for the links mav.
Cheers..PaulO

Such beautiful instruments. I'd have to say that Greek oud making is right up there, at European/Western standards of instrument making. The beauty
is in the simplicity, cleaness of the work, and flawless ability to work with the wood, which is always beautifully grained...
