Calling all Sukar owners. String question.

My Sukar arrived yesterday. I love it. Such depth and a big body which I find more comfortable. I can feel the bowl vibrate with every note I play, very satisfying. I have tried various strings already but still prefer the original red coulored bass strings. I have contacted the previous owner to see if he knows the make of these strings but I have'nt heard back yet. Does anyone know what make/type of strings Sukar fits? . I know the oud has its original strings and they are right for this oud. Thanks. Charlie.

I liked the Pyramid Orange set on my Sukar.

I like those aswell Jameel but on this Sukar there is a lush gut like bass sound with the red strings. I wonder if they are Pyramid red label ?

Hi, I tried many strings on my sukar oud and I was only satisfied with Pyramid Lute strings, which are a bit expensive but sounds great on this instrument!

I just put a set of Aquilla strings on my Sukar and they are reddish/copperish on the bass strings and sort of a milky bluish white for the last two courses... could that be what you're looking for... She had a set of the Pyramid Orange labels when I got her... but the aa strings were starting to deaden out... After reading about the nylgut strings Aquilla was making, I thought it would be cool to try them out... I really like them.... and they might be what you're describing....

Here's where I Picked them up from Khalaf Oud and received them in about 4-5 days...
