arsene,
i literally feel your pain, man. i broke my left hand about 2 years ago and it was such a difficult experience. are you left handed or right handed? what kind of break do you have and how did it happen? i encourage you to not get to depressed, as after the cast comes off if the fracture is not too complicated the recovery time is actually quite fast if you practice your oud safely and diligently. my best thoughts are with you for a fast recovery.
all the best regards,
amos

I wish i could tell you some tough and spectacular story, but i just fell off my bike :D
I broke some little bones in my hand and my pinky. I'm right handed, so as guitarists would put it, my left hand is my fretting hand... which makes it that much worse i guess.

So Amos, how did you put up with not being able to play?

well, i listened to a lot of music and perhaps drank a little too much, but other than that i just sufferred through it! the hand will be sore for a while after it heals and maybe give you some trouble from time to time when there is moist weather, etc. but you will be able to play again just as well, im sure. i hope you have a speedy recovery.

As a guy who broke his collar bone a few weeks ago and who's broken both wrists in the past... I completely feel your pain.... It sucks being in a cast.... :(
