Is Oud proffs DVD useful for learning
Dear Oudists
I am wondering whether the oud proffs DVD is Good for beginners or not... Is there any one who got it already... I am a beginner and want to know how
to find the different positions for the fingers on the strings for different maqams. thanx

The oudproffs dvd is IMHO the BEST thing you could lays your hands on to learn the oud,perhaps even more especially as a beginner.
Do a search on the forum for it and read the reviews for it.
My advice get it and enjoy.

I think Oud.Proff's DVD is awesome. Just last night I was searching through the Maqams on his DVD, finding new ones and playing them... the only thing
close to the DVD, is http://www.maqamworld.com but maqamworld doesn't show you finger psoitions and explain certain things which are explained in his DVD, but yes, why
not ask him directly, he's a friendly guy!!
