New taqsim

Hey, I just recorded a taqasim, starting on rast and modulating to suznak, nairouz, bastanegar and kurd. I'd like to hear criticism!

Then you'll have to play a bit worse, Masel. I'm listening to it now and I'm really impressed. :applause:

I really enjoyed this taqsim, it sounded to me like you were playing more traditional and old style with your finger and risha technique, but I'm no expert!! What sort of Oud is it? Who is the maker? It sounds lovely and warm!!

Anyway, all round perfect taqsim, you even modulated into a few different maqams!

Well done!! 10/10! :applause:

Dear Yaniv,
I enjoyed your taqasim which is really nice, but as you mentionned you wanted some criticism as I'll try to find some. Maybe I would have done it with more "breathe" at the beginning, that is to say a bit more calm and cool down. Then I would have tried to vary the risha technique more.
Hope it's clear, and of course it's just my opinion and at this point I guess it's a matter of taste as well. And it's really because I wanted to post some criticism ;-)
A question: how did you record it? The sound is indeed relatively clear and clean.

Hey thanks for the replies. Thanks Benjamin sometimes I feel my risha repeats itself too much, also my phrases, I will work on that. I have a pair of headphones with a "madona" microphone, it's really nothing special, I recorded with that into audacity, no equalizing or anything.
My oud was built by Elias Jubran, Marina if you are looking this is Yaniv, and this is the oud I told you about.

good day

Does Elias Jubran have a website? Could I contact him? I just love the sound of your Oud...
