Turkish/Greek Cypriot Music on Public Radio Int'l

Merhaba/Yassas,

There was a program yesterday on (U.S./U.K.) Public Radio International about Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot musicians in the USA recording together.

Read/listen: http://www.theworld.org/taxonomy_by_date/3/20080814

I appreciate their project and the recognition from PRI.

Here is the web page for the group: http://www.dunyainc.org/

While looking (in the wrong place) for this program, I also came across this recent piece on (U.S.) NPR about Moroccan Chaabi music: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=93502483

Over and out,
John

Nice article, thanks John. I see this sort of thing happening more and more, and I've been a part of several similar projects, and the response is always very good.

I hope these kinds of exchanges/partnerships keep happening more and more. We are all very close to each other culturally.

Take care,

m
