Is the oud all original?

It seems like many aspects have been repaired by Ibrahim Sukkar or someone working with him.

Hello Samir,

I really don't know if it is all original. but it sounds old :)
Which parts would you think might be replaced?
I would be very happy to hear your opinion and other experts on this issue.
All the best,
Nizar

I think the face may have been changed by him...

I would put my hand in the fire that, The bridge and the edge binding was made by Sukkar.

the rest is probably things he was able to save from the original oud.

Thank you guys,
Here is what i think:

I have some familiarity with Ibrahim Sukar's ouds. Regarding the the edge bindings i have to say it is very similar. Regarding the front and bridge, i think that Sukar's are much more massive and in the Abyad case it is much more gentle.
I will post photos of another 2 ouds of my collection from aleppan makers. You could see the similarity between the bridges and edge bindings.

I take back what I said, the picture was too far :)

The binding of Sukar is different then the one you have.

perhaps like you say Basel that Sukar is trying to copy the works of the old makers.

sorry about the trouble :)

Good luck on selling it. Nice playing by the way!!

Nizarrohana, you are absolutely AMAZING. In both video and MP3 I learnt so much from just watching and listening. You play with both soul and skill. PLEASE, if possible, do more videos!!

...And great Ouds, pity I can't afford them!!

Off topic, but Nizar, I found your album on Emusic and checked it out ... great playing. It's in my 'saved for later' when my downloads refresh in couple of weeks.
