nice samir ..good performance. I would work more on the high pitch notes at the end of the taksim to make them more precise. The oud sound is superb with the echo i loved it
best

Samir, you're amazing, sometimes as I am listening I think to myself "Have I got the wrong record, is it actually Farid? Oh no, it's Samir!" :applause: Although I think Katakofka is right about one or two off notes towards the end? Not sure though.

By the way what strings are those? Sound great with that Oud.

Anyway... you're a 10/10 in my opinion. :airguitar:

must be those damn strings going out of tune again

thanks guys for the encouragement.

strings are Aquila on the oud i repaired for my friend George.

I used to be able to practice at least 5 nights a week.
now its down to 1 night if I am lucky.

ok... must practice down the fingerboard notes!!!
in fact I think I am going to practice some scales down deep on the fingerboard to warm up before playing.
could be a good idea. I think its only been a year that I really started exploring this area.
it wasnt and really still isn't in my "comfort zone"

That's great going Samir, you're becoming a proper faridi. You play very expressively in the slow section. Top of the fingerboard for me is enemy territory and I only go there under cover of darkness. I've been meaning to post some clips for ages and you inspired me to have a go again. Would love your comment on my (much more amateurish) efforts.
