Souheil.... Thanks for sharing the Samaii... it's a bit beyond my ability to play for now... But I really like how you incorporated the strum into
the phrases... and I like the balance between playing lower and higher notes... I really like how it swings.... especially the part around 3:15
Also like the Caprice... BTW what is a Caprice... I tried to google it, but all I got were links about Cars

thanks for the link Samir. I realized that the last part I am playing it wrongly (I Removed the samaii from youtube). I need to go back to the music
sheet. You know when you love a piece you consider it your own and then you make your own way of doing it.
Thanks Chris. Caprice's meaning has nothing to do with cars) Actually, it's a
form of music developed by Paganini, the greatest violist. He wrote 24 caprices. Youtube paganini and caprice. Caprice is a synonym of quirk or
impulse.
In the Oud world, few composers have written caprices. The ones that exist are mainly influenced by western music such as Jameel BAshir caprice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SJUevDfpHk
or Targan caprice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5IK70WFYXs
Or naseer shamma caprice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT5PiMhpFKI
When I began being aware of this form of music and practicing them I didn't find a pleasure doing such music. I always have a tendency switching to
oriental makaams.
