fixing bad pegs?
Hi everybody !
My oud can't stay tuned even one minute especially when I play.
Do you think is it possible to fix that problem, I have bouth one new set of ebony pegs whithout any holes. I have to drill the hole for the
string.
What would be the drill bit size?
Thanks a lot :-)

If it's the pegs slipping which causes the problem you might invest in some Peg compound. Hills do a little lipstick like tube which should last you
a lifetime.

you will probably have to ream the peg holes in the pegbox to fit the new pegs. This requires a special peg reamer available from violin tool
suppliers. If the pegs don' fit the holes, they won't work either.
