MOLO - miniature oud-like object!
This project is not exactly an oud, but is prototypical for an eventual child size, four course oud, so I thought I'd post some photos of the
progress...
First, the walnut ribs rough-sized (thanks to Cider Bob for the wood and Carpenter for the use of his bandsaw!) along with the work "stick" with neck
and end blocks attached:

Here are the completed parts ready to begin intermediate assembly.
There are 2 soundboards and 2 necks; I plan to make one eight string version and one four string.

Cool! Nice to see someone building. I'm so far behind with other stuff I wonder if I'll ever make another oud. Wait a sec, it's only been a couple
months since I finished the last one. Whew, seems like forever.

Here is the body lined and neck glued; also have begun bracing. I'll be using a modified fan bracing with three fans, and with renforcing pads at
bridge, around soundhole, and below fingerboard extension.
