Bassem Rizk on Local LB TV
A gifted oud player trying to make his way as an Oud solist. He is inspired by the iraqi oud style.

To me he still sounds like Nasser Shamma. I wish he can do his own way one day.

Hi Souheil.
It's true that he is gifted technique-wise. But I don't like his style at all.
First, his instrument sounds like a casserole with strings - a very unpleasant metallic sound, not even close to the guitar. Although we know the
great maker. Second, his style is very technique and speed oriented, like Naseer if you wish to call it so. And about the second video.. this is the
most awful oud playing I've ever heard. What are all your skills for if you can't the listener's heart?
Excuse me for being rude but this is no oud playing at all.
