Oud Calendar Project
Greetings Fellow Oud-Manics,
I have a project idea that I've been thinking about for years: Making a desk-top published "oud masters" calendar to distribute for free to Mike's
Ouds Forums members.
I could use some help and suggestions:
1) Calendar resources, especially Islamic and Jewish calendars, of a format could be pasted into a Microsoft Publisher document. Calendars combining
Islamic/Gregorian and Jewish/Gregorian calendars, and Julian (Orthodox Christian) calendar information would be helpful.
2) Pictures of oud players to be honored.
3) Appropriate quotes to include, especially quotes from Sufi poets, Scripture, etc.
4) Design suggestions, since I am hardly trained in graphic design.
Also, I am totally open to providing some or most all of the above elements if someone else wants to take over the final design and layout of the
calendar.
I have attached a sample to give you a rough idea of what I am imagining.
