Halloween - The Misfits - Played on Oud
So I was just sort of freeform playing tonight and got the song "Halloween" by the Misfits stuck in my head... thought it sounded kind of cool on the
oud and decided to record it...
I've been working on a bunch of Oum Kalthoum stuff recently and it was sort of nice to step outside the box and do some old school music....
Check out the Youtube clip Here

hey i love the misfits, it's a cool idea, though it's hard to recognize the tune.
i thought your comment on oldschool was funny though, when comparing an american punk band from the 80s to a woman that started recording in the 30s,
and was alot more into traditional music (especially back then).

Yeah, that is funny..... I guess it has to do with one's cultural background... From my perspective, Oum Kalthoum is BRAND NEW.... but I've been
listening to the Misfits for 20 years.... so Oum Kalthoum becomes new and The Misfits are Oldschool....
I tried to play it with a bit of swing and make it more Oud-ish - since playing it straight sounded kind of lame... again though, it was meant to be a
break... not serious...
