Just wanted to welcome my mate Alfie to the forum.
He's just got a superb Michael Moussa oud for his 60th birthday. I was the go between and went to visit Michael a couple of weeks ago and spent four
hours trying out many of his beautiful and very individual ouds until we settled between us on this one.
The first set of pictures were taken in my work room with my own Tasos blondie plus more flame maple guitars )
The last photos are of Alfie at his place looking somewhat bewildered at this gorgeous oud. Its a large oud, same as my Tasos in depth but about 70mm
longer in the bowl.
We chose the oud because of its sound which is young but with wonderful warm bass response and lovely balance that is characteristic of Michael's oud
(you should really try them - I'm a bit of a tone junkie and these are really special).
Myself and Michael both agreed that this oud would open up and mature as Alfie goes on his own musical journey.
Here's the pics, hopefully a sound sample will be along soon, but the oud is at Alfie's (sad loss to my workroom).
