Old Turkish oud around 40 years
Hi
This is an old Turkish oud around 40 years. I don't know who is the maker because the sticker has been removed. I will add a sound file soon.
Can you please help me to evaluate it's price.
Thanks

you are asking more than that for an oud that you cannot identify with damage like this? not sure how reasonable that is...

I have one by the same maker ( no label ) and recall Ronny Anderson had one like it , very similar except for the pick guard. The rosettes are machine
made plastic of the cookie cutter assembly line variety. My oud was bought in Antalya, Turkey about 25 years ago for about $125. I also recall having
a discussion, years ago, with Ronny about the origin. Ronny thought the maker was from Iraq and I thought Turkey.

Hi there
It sounds a little overbraced to me for a Turkish sound, you look like you are havng to work hard to make this sound ... maybe a skilled luthier could
open this up? Just a thought, it will be interesting to hear the difference new strings make.
Best of luck
Leon
