Buying and learning Bouzouk

Hey everyone,

Would anyone know where I could buy a good Lebanese/Syrian style Bouzouk?

Also, any resources on how to learn? Are there books available? Or, I live in the DC area, so if anyone knows someone there who plays and can teach that would be great too!!!

Thanks:)

Hi Malik,

Samir Azar and Ibrahim Sukar both make good quality buzuks.

have a look at their websites:

http://www.oudsukar.com/

http://samir-ouds.com/

I'm sure there are more people on this forum who tried buzuks from both, just do a search for the respective threads :)

happy shopping :)

No problem! I'm not sure about learning resources... I know of one bouzouki forum that has some nice tutorial videos, but thats for Greek bouzouki... http://www.playbouzouki.com
