Interesting sound and instrument! Does it have a metal bowl, like cumbus? Looks like a cumbus with metal strings and fingerboard.

Ha ha! Yes!
I am actually selling it for a measly 200 beans ...I am at my Mom's here in
Vancouver for another 3 weeks before heading back to the EU --- she's aging and might have to move soon, so I am digging thru mountains of great old
instruments I would be wise to deal with now rather than later...
The bowl is made from metal and wood... here are some small photos.

It would be good for an oud player who might have interest in dabling in Indian music without committing to a big investment.
