Higazi Oud from Alexandria Egypt
Hi everyone.
I buy my ouds from a guy in Alexandria named Higazi. As I had never seen an mention of any ouds on Mike's site from Alexandria, I thought I
would show you a picture of my latest one. Just bought it earlier this year.
Higazi makes really nice, clean instruments, and is the second Higazi to do so. His father was apparently very well known in the 50's and
60's, and there were many photos of well known oudists with their new Higazi ouds on the wall in Higazi's shop. He is the only oud maker in
Alexandria that I know of. I will post some pics of my other Higazi oud soon.
If any one is interested, I can give you his number and address in Alex. As far as I know he does not have a website, but he told me he does ship
them internationally.
