So I have been for a while trying the iraqi (Do-FA-DO-re-sol-do-fa) tuning which seems good for makaams on C and F. It also makes the oud sound very
rich due to the open C string.

I am on Shamma's tuning but playing differently I hope

Beautiful - thanks, that's an amazing looking and sounding oud as well as being wonderfully played.

Often fast players lose touch with tarab and purpose, like even Tawandros, but your speedy runs don't destroy the emotion. Great. ... and that shamsa
is so hypnotic!

I agree - there's a real underlying drive and purpose that makes this very emotionally rich playing. I really like your playing Kata, it appeals to
us warm hearted types:-)

thanks guys, glad you like it
it was not easy for me playing on that tuning, it needs lot of concentration with a C string instead of A
