help with translating song

Hi, I am trying to learn another song to sing, since I started singing I enjoy it more and more.

It is an iraqi song again (what can I do..), called "3la shawati dijla mer" على شواطي دجلة مر.



I have managed to translate some single lines here and there but alot of the song is still a mystery to me. I promise to post a recording of me singing and playing it if some transtlates it so please!

P.s. even the first few verses will be enough of course.
