I have this Taqsim in Shatt Araban which is rhythmless and I don't know how to play it. Can anyone post a small recording to guide me? I have few of
them with no rhythm so it would be great if you could help me.

Sorry my oud is not so tuned and I just woke up.. anyway no more excuses. By the way, the fact that it is rhythmless makes it easier to play as a
taqasim, just use information as a seyir guideline. Go by the rests and the length of the notes, just make short stops for quarters and 8ths, and a
little longer stops for half, whole notes etc.
From this taqasim we can learn (I am not sure if this exactly is the turkish sat'araban but I think so) that the maqam starts as hijazkar on neva/G,
shows nawathar on kurdan/C, then some high rast (mahur?), then continues to descend using again hijazkar and nawathar, touches nahawand by
unsharpening the F#, and only at the end reaches the qarar, on yegah/G.

When you play takasim, you have to know the certain makam that you want to play. So if we have shadaraban, you know that karar (tonika) is sol.
So all the notes written befor sol with fermata are just "introduction" to this particular sol. So, when you reach THE sol, stay there a little
bit.(middle of the first row)
The next stop is do (also with fermata), so all the notes before THE do are just "introduction" to this particular do. So, when you reach THE do, stay
there a little bit. This is important station.
Next station is re. Do and re "fights" about ramaz role in shadarban, but still the re IS the ramaz, so this stop is crusial - so stay there a bit.
After The re (with fermata) - RAMAZ - the culmination comes, so play quicker and you can double the notes. Do again takes us gradualy to SOL, the
KARAR, and we are done.
So, shadarban filosofy:
sol, Karar = The king
re, Ramaz = The Queen
Do = prince
Others = servants
